An homage to California's arts-and-crafts architectural style, this hotel is the most luxurious option inside the Anaheim's Disneyland Resort. Guests staying here get early access to Disney's California Adventure theme park, a bonus. Kids will love evening storytime by the fantastically huge fireplaces in the lobby, while parents may appreciate the extensive wine list at Napa Rose restaurant (make reservations).

This hotel is fabulous! Upon arrival, you immediately lose all sense of being in the city and feel like you have been whisked off to an amazing cabin in the woods. This "cabin," is located on the premises of Disney's California Adventure Park. It has a fire place lounge with rocking chairs for the adults and a separate are with mini-rocking chairs and cartoons for the kids. It also has a great lobby bar, 3 pools with a water slide, 2 exceptional restaurants, and an area that provides various activities for children. When my family and I visited, we were asked if we were celebrating anything special. We nonchalantly replied that we were celebrating the end of first grade and were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite! This was our first time stating at the Grand Californian (have stayed there once again since then) and we were definitely not expecting this to happen. The room was amazing. We had a large balcony that overlooked Downtown Disney. Definitely an unforgettable experience. Although their regular guest rooms are also extremely nice. Of course, by Disney standards, service was excellent. And, for those guests staying at the hotel, you are offered an extra hour before the park opens to the public in the morning to venture out and get on certain rides. This alone is amazing. We did this in order to get on the new Cars ride shortly after it opened and saved us about a 2 hour wait. Overall, this place is pricey but it is definitely worth trying out at least once. If you are locals like us, find a deal and stay for a night. You won't regret it.

The Grand Californian is THE place to stay when you make a pilgrimage to the happiest place on earth. Our family has stayed at this hotel pretty much since it opened. When you drive up you can't help but notice the similarities to the Awahnee Hotel in Yosemite (very arts & crafts style). The decor continues in the arts & crafts motif complete with Tiffany style lamps and a giant fireplace in the lobby. They have mission style rocking chairs in front of the fireplace and even some itty bitty kiddie chairs too. So cute!
The rooms are quite comfy but not plush. It is not the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at but it is definitely the best in Disneyland. The only Disney-esque details are the pictures of Snow White in a woodland scene and the shower curtain with images of Bambi, Thumper and friends. The beds are comfy and they offer turn-down service where they dim the lights and offer some Disney chocolates too. Don't mind if I do.
They also offer some nice restaurants too. The Storytellers Cafe is a great place for some pre-park breakfast. Gotta get that strength up! The banana stuffed french toast is the best! They also offer a yummy corn chowder for lunch and dinner. Creamy goodness. The Napa Rose is delectable. The food is amazing and quite creative. Very California Cuisine. Yummy cocktails too...like candy. MMMM.
You also can't beat the convenience and location, location, location of the Grand Californian. As a guest you have access to a VIP entrance to California Adventures. Love VIP status! You are also smack dab in the middle of Downtown Disney which is a fun place to shop, eat and immerse yourself into the magic of the Disney empire. I can't wait to return!

To get the full and best experience at the happiest place on earth, you'll want to stay at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. It's just steps away from the entrance of Downtown Disneyland and the parks. Cozy arts & crafts decor makes you feel like you're staying in a luxurious lodge.

Exceptional, friendly, Disney service in addition to some luxurious charm. The rooms are not nearly as substantial as I imagined them to be, especially for the price you are paying, but then again, you really shouldn't be spending your time sitting in your room.Recommended for

I love the Grand Californian, which has a rugged craftsman design. It's the luxury hotel at Disneyland and lets out directly into California Adventure. It's close to Napa Rose, a swank and elegant Disney restaurant.
It can be expensive, but it's always a treat.Recommended for

If you need to stay near Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, then the Grand Californian gives you a unique experience. They have a private entrance into DCA so you can bypass the security check-in lines and lines at the gate. They also offer early magic morning hour which is entry into the park an hour before it opens. Think of all you can do in that hour without a crowd? The service is impeccable. The decor is grand cabin. Think forest, think nature, think Disney. It's a wonderful place to stay with luscious rooms and amenities. You really can't go wrong.

It's Yosemite's Ahwanee Hotel on steroids! Too rich for my blood. The families we see wandering glassy-eyed with their tired tots must be taking out a second mortgage to pay for their magical dream experience. Naturally, the Disney attention to detail is evident; beautiful work on the interiors and fixtures. Sit in the lobby and relax - at least that is free.

Ok... This is an exenive hotel but... It's right next to Dland n you won't need to pay for parking for Dland! I love it!
The rooms are beautiful and clean! I really enjoyed my stay.
I stayed here to be close to Dland and I loved it. My CC did not.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location. It's situated between Downtown Disney and California Adventure with rooms that can have a view of either.
There's nothing like having spent a long day at the park or out being entertained and having a very short walk back to your room.
The lobby is inviting and spectacular. There is a bar off to the side of the lobby if you're looking to grab a cocktail at a place that doesn't require leaving the hotel.
Storytellers Cafe is a great buffet for the family and Napa Rose is the resident table service restaurant offering delicious food with an extensive wine list.
