A great value on a vacation home-type stay while visiting Disney. Their Grand Villas are essentially 3 bedroom homes with a backyard porch, jacuzzi bath and the works. You can save a ton of money by stocking the fridge and cooking dinners in the full kitchen rather than eating out every night. And there's totally enough room for an extended family. The villas are the largest of any Disney property, but priced on a budget I could get my wallet around.
On my overall experience, to be honest I felt more like I was in a typical upscale South Florida neighborhood than at a resort. And this was both good and bad. The place is quiet, spread out and has a woodsy feel, but you miss out on some of the excitement that you came to Disney for in the first place. On the flip-side, you're actually right in the heart of Disney World, and especially close to Downtown Disney and the Magic Kingdom. And there are free bus stops throughout the Resort that will get you anywhere you need. If you get the chance to stay here, try to get a spot back on Turtle Pond Road (bldgs 41-44). It's just far away enough from the main restaurants & bars to avoid all the noise yet still just a close walk when you want a drink at the Gurgling Suitcase. Plus, there's a hidden 2nd pool, bar and hot-tub back there that my friends and I basically had to ourselves!

I've stayed here several times before, and I shall be visiting again next year as this is just a superb place to stay! I love the slow, peaceful and non-rush atmosphere that Old Key West gives, with it's style, architecture and spacious areas to give you just enough privacy you want, but not that much so it stills feels like your part of society. The swimming pools and play areas are placed our around the resort and are very rarely busy, I have often found myself being able to enjoy the pool all to myself!! To add to the relaxing resort, when you do want to get to a park, the buses run a very efficient system that operate from all around Old Key West within a short distance to your accommodation. The rooms themselves are very spacey and in my opinion require everything that you could possibly want to enjoy your holiday to the max. One of my favourite parts of Old Key West is the boat journey to Downtown Disney that you can take, which just adds to the enjoyment of Disney. There is much more to explore here and I can't wait to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very nice resort! We loved the fact that we could catch the bus over and not deal with parking or going in and out of the park. For that, it is well worth staying at a Disney Resort. Nicely updated and well worth the money!

I am a sucker for Floridian architecture. Seems a bit redundant to do something like this, even if the Keys are some distance away.
These rooms are quite large in relation to other Disney Vacation Club resorts. Wonderfully decorated, it makes waking up here a real delight. The pool area is perfect for the whole family.
The restaurant is alright. If you haven't had conch, now is your chance. The good news is there are so many better restaurants around.

This is one of the most spacious DVC resorts as far as square footage in the rooms goes.
The style is reminscent of Key West with a sort of plantation style and shutters. The old south exists here.
Vegetation between the main lobby area and the various resort "pods" is lush and tropical.
You can take a boat from here to Downtown Disney making it a very convenient location for dinner and drinks.
