Although it dances on the edge of tacky, the theme is well executed and the resort itself is fun. Can't beat the location on the monorail line!

We love going to the buffet at their restaurant. You get to see the characters at a less chaotic place than the parks.

The Polynesian (Hawaiian style) Resort is also a great stay on the lagoon directly across from the Magic Kingdom. Has its own monorail stop as well.

The Disney Polynesian is exquisite just like all of the Disney Resort hotels! I remember as a kid going there for their Hawaiian Luau. Which is particularly funny looking back on it because I live in Hawaii now! I remember being dazzled by the performance and dreaming then that one day I would go to Hawaii.

The swaying of palm trees, pink flower leis, tiki torches...you'll instantly feel the Aloha Spirit when you visit Disney's Polynesian resort. This is one of Disney's deluxe hotels, so it comes with a high price tag, but the attention to detail is top-notch. The Polynesian theme is carried through in every area of the hotel, from the bamboo picture frames on the wall to the Hawaiian floral bedspreads. The hotel features a popular luau option for dinner as well as the casual Hawaiian food at the Kona Cafe. An illuminated water show occurs every evening in the lake, and Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks can be seen from the beach at the Polynesian as well. This hotel offers the best possible transportation to all Disney parks - the monorail and boat rides to Magic Kingdom and bus service to all other Disney locations. The kids will also love the pool with its fun waterslide! Our room was comfortable and spacious and included a balcony overlooking the "beach". We enjoyed finding hidden Mickeys throughout the resort, and we loved all of the Disney magic that can be found in those extra special touches of a Disney deluxe resort.

My family stayed at the Polynesian resort when I was a kid and I fondly remember the Luaus on the beach for dinner. Also, the monorail ride to the parks wasn't very long at all.

I stayed that the Polynesian Resort on one trip to Disneyworld (and I usually switch it up each time). As with most Disney resorts, everything is a little over the top, but with a Polynesian theme here.

Went here first time to Disney with daughters and again last year for oldest daughters bday on New years day. We still love this one and really like being on the monorail. Told they have limited the hours to monorail, so might not be as cool any more

This is my spot,I become a kid again and just spread my smile laughing at all the kids and adults also having fun. Ok, so its gonna cost U but after spending three weeks at the Polynesian Resort I didn't mind the price. Thanks for the fun, see U soon.

Beautiful property situated on the monorail. Quiet with large rooms. Fantastic service and a lot of activities within the hotel (pool, beach). Great view of night time fireworks.

I have pictures of this resort when it was just a twinkle in the designers' eyes. And, I've visited it several times since then. It truly epitomizes the lengths Disney goes to to make you feel like you're in another land. Love the lobby bar and the tropical atmosphere.

Perhaps why I like this place is the fact one is immersed into the culture and experience of Polynesia. The sights, the sounds, and even the aromas take me so far away from Orlando.
The best part is the proximity to the Transportation and Ticket Center. You are a monorail ride from Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

This is a Disney resort I have never stayed at but I have visited and eaten here often. My review and rating does not take into account anything related to a room at The Poly.
My husband and I love to break away from Magic Kingdom in the middle of the day to have a drink at the lobby bar here. It's such a nice break among the foliage in the lobby, sounds of water and Polynesian music. Usually mid-day, the bar isn't crowded so you'll get a friendly bar-tender as well. We have enjoyed eating at O'Hana, the Luau, Kona Cafe, and Captain Hooks here. They have great restaurant offerings and cute gift shops. We love walking outside to enjoy the tiki-torch lit paths, tropical plants, and water views.
The monorail makes this a very convenient resort to the Magic Kingdom and the resort is right next to the Transportation and Ticket Center which will take you by monorail to EPCOT.
I have watched the lifeguards lead activities by the pool for the kids and they have tons of fun!
One final word, we also enjoy taking a walk over to the Grand Floridian from here--it's really close and such a peaceful walk.
    Aloha! Enjoy this resort.
