Amazing lobby way with huge a fire place and giant trees as pillars. Great pool and water slide for the family. Very close to Magic Kingdom.

If you've got your heart set on staying inside Disney World, this grand hotel is your best bet. A knock-off imitation of the Ahwahnee at Yosemite (or any other Arts & Crafts national park lodge you can think of), here the kids can gather around the stone fireplace for story hour at night, then get up in the morning and get to the theme park by hopping on a boat. Pure childhood fantasy makes it tons of fun. I'd give this hotel four stars, except for how outrageously overpriced it is.

A classic Disney destination, the Wilderness Lodge is a rustic escape inspired by old Northwestern park lodges from the turn of the century. The huge fireplace in the lobby is a great place to gather and warm up on cool evenings, and the cabin-style décor provides a quiet and idyllic getaway.

Love Love. Everything was good for us on two visits. Once with our girls and they loved the bunk beds. Went back for a Jan visit a few years ago when I ran the half marathon. We loved sitting in the lobby and having coffee in the morning. Biased because we lived in the PNW and love the whole ambiance

My favorite! The lobby is amazing. The pool is great. And the people make it feel like home. I love everything about this resort. It is just a short boat ride from Magic Kingdom, but feels like it is a world away.

This is one of my favorite Disney hotels to visit at Christmas time. The Christmas decorations are amazing!

Disney's Wilderness Lodge was a great place to call home for the week. Its log cabin exterior and totem pole decorations give it a very cool Native American feel. Transportation to and from the park is frequent and seamless. The Wilderness Lodge is also a great place to take a day off from the rides to swim or lounge by the pool.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a masterpiece of a resort. It has a vast lobby, impressive chandeliers, terrific location, exciting restaurants and a themed pool.
It's just a short boat ride to either Magic Kingdom or over to Fort Wildnerness if you'd like to see Hoop De Doo Revue. On a side note, keep a visit to Fort Wilderness in mind if you're visiting during the holiday season as the campers have Christmas decorations to rival anything a homeowner has.
The reason I gave this resort only 3 stars is because the rooms are just way too dark for me. I prefer something lighter where it's easier to see.
