This disney resort is definitely geared for an upscale crowd with families. The close location to the park along with its good reputation among other guests led us to book our stay here, and we were not disappointed. The rooms are disney themed and the sandy pool is a pretty darn good imitation of a sandy beach.Recommended for:

One of our favorite aspects about the Yacht Club was the yachtsman greeter at the main entrance. The kids looked forward to seeing him.
Rooms were nice (great water-view location). Loved the pool area (there's SAND at the bottom; feels like the ocean...in a good way).Recommended for:

The Yacht club resort is probably one of Disney's best hotels in Orlando, as the name indicates. My favorite part was the family friendliness, as the rooms were prepared for my family in particular. The food is delicious, with the steakhouse right there at the top in my opinion. The beds were really nice and a good place to sleep off a tiring day at the park with the kids.Recommended for:

Excellent location, service in beautiful surroundings. While attending a convention and workshop had wonderful areas to study, meet with co-workers, enjoy family and had a fun reunion with friends. Romamtic nights by the lighthouse, loved the lights on the water, tasty Disney Dining.Recommended for:

The Yacht Club resort, as well as it's attached sister hotel, The Beach Club are my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World Resort.
They deserve top ranking because of the resort location, swimming pool, restaurant offerings, and activity offerings.
The resort is just outside of EPCOT's International Gateway, the "back" entrance to EPCOT. There's nothing like heading toward the International Gateway to leave EPCOT at the end of the night while everyone else is heading toward the entrance. It's a pleasant park departure experience you rarely receive at the parks. You can either walk or take a short boat ride to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is also a short walk to The Boardwalk, Swan or Dolphin hotels if you care to check out their restaurant offerings or shops.
Stormalong Bay, the swimming pool, is unique for Disney. It has a sand bottom, temperate water, a long slide reminiscent of a shipwreck, a small lazy river, shallow pool for the very young, hot tubs and waterfalls. There is also a small playground at the pool. If you plan on having a good amount of pool time, this is the place! They have afternoon activities too such as trivia contests or volleyball.
The restaurants are fantastic. You have options of a steak dinner, variety fare, seafood buffet, hamburgers or quick sandwiches from one of the stores.
If there happens to be bad weather, activities are typically offered in the lobby or the solarium and there is mini golf just a very short ride away.
The rooms are very comfortable too after having gone through redecorating and replacement of the beds. The beds are quite comfortable.
You will also receive complimentary H2O products in the rooms.
