Loved it! We got in and out pretty quickly despite the fact that it was packed, and the food was great! I went with some die-hard burger fans and they loved it, but they still had some interesting choices for the non-conventional burger person like me. I had the lamb burger with tzatziki sauce and the works and it was delicious. Every burger was pretty much $8 and you could add sides for a few bucks more. Or, if you use foursquare, you can check in and get a free side of fries. We tried out the truffle cream and Wisconsin cheddar fries and they were so filling and rich it was ridiculous! I definitely recommend it for a nice lunch!
UDPATE: Added another star. That's right. I went back here with my parents and boyfriend. My dad is a meat and potatoes kind of guy and was craving a burger. I mean I love their burger concoctions and sauces, but I was nervous that his plain, ketchup-only burger wouldn't impress him. I was wrong, he loved it and said the meat quality made that burger one of the best he's ever had, which, if you knew my dad, says a lot. Not to mention I came back and got the #2 and it was just as good as my previous favorite, the #11. Seriously, if you haven't been here yet, GO NOW.

Went here for dinner a while back with the boyfriend. It has seriously some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. The food was delicious! My only complaint is that the atmosphere is more bar than it is restaurant. It is VERY loud and not really a great place to have a conversation over a meal. But the beer selection is decent, the food is great, and I enjoyed my meal, if a little deaf for it.

This place is slightly expensive, but they're good.
Their burgers are the perfect portion, and there will probably be no leftovers.
I love their fries, they have some awesome truffle fries!!
This place gets crowded later at night, but we went at 6, and were able to get a table with no issues. The service was great.

hands DOWN the best burgers in the city!
i try and bring everyone here. i try to go once a month, and i could probably recite the menu.
no reservations - so just wait and deal with it. grab a beer and wipe your saliva as you watch other burgers pass you by. i've had almost everything on the menu and all is great, but this is why i love DMK:
their buns! toasted so amazingly.
their beef! grassfed and perfect.
their drinks! beer list is great and i am in love with the whirling tiger cocktail.
their fries! sweet potato and parmesan truffle are my faves.
their burgers! i'm a fan of #4 (green chile & egg) and holy guac-aoili (guac + chorizo, i die.)
their non-beef! turkey & lamb are my faves on this part of the menu.
sigh, i can't wait to go back when i'm hankering a burger next...this is hands down the best burger in chicago.
the best part: you don't feel 'too full' after DMK...it's just. right.

DMK is my absolute favorite neighborhood restaurant. I think my friends and I go here at least weekly, I kid you not, because: 1) The burgers are amazing--perfectly cooked, delicious bun, just the right amount of interesting toppings, and a good portion size that allows you to finish the burger despite having noshed on truffle cream fries or the bacon and blue cheese fries beforehand, 2) The beer list and drink menus are great--tons of local brew options, and the cocktails are sooo reasonably priced (which I def. realized after a recent trip to NYC, haha), 3) The staff is super friendly! It's hard for me to recall a time when our group was not given either free appetizers, free beer cards to be used on our next visit, or a free milkshake :)
Anywho, if you haven't been before, you should pop by stat and start your night off with a Whirling Tiger cocktail and the #3 burger, a personal fav (grass-fed beef with pastrami, gruyere, sauerkraut & remoulade).
