Good vittles, great selection of drinks, and one of the best spots to watch the Avenue cruise by. Huge outdoor seating area. Actually, as the name implies, a converted car repair shop, this place is the perfect complement to the Continental Club's music scene. Wonderful place to hang out outside and nurse a beer or three while waiting for sunset to pull up close enough to get you to go watch the bats come out from under the Congress Ave bridge a few blocks further downhill.

This place has fantastic Bloody Mary's. Sitting outside on a summer afternoon with good company at Doc's is a great way to spend a day. They have very good food as well. Located on South Congress, parking can be a bit of a headache...

Great greasy food, cold local beer. Seating inside and outside with shade and fans. On my favorite street in Austin, South Congress, where I tell every tourist to check out. If you like watching sports, you're in luck, I lost count of how many TVs there are. Just stopped in today for a kickball league happy hour. ;)
