Doc Caves used to be a Swanky Place, when Montego Bay was The In Place to be seen. Architectually it is probably one of Montego Bay's first Resorts..It is a commercail beach and you pay to get on..Montego Bay it,s self sure has seen alot of changes-for the good It was pretty run down in the 90,s New Areas and some clean up to other Areas makes it brighter. I like Montego Bay to visit. If you like Urban type Settings Close, than you might just find your self sitting on The Beaches at Mo Bay (as it,s called0

They say there's a natural spring that exits through the beach and that the water from this spring could heal the sick... that's how the beach got it's name.
Spend an afternoon here and you'll forget the world and just enjoy the beach. That's what Doctors Cave is about. Relaxing... the kids can run up and down the beach, you can have a drink, catch the sun and have a snack. It's a great place to be and a wonderful time to have.Recommended for:Family Travelers

We have always stayed at Gloucester House or the Doctor's Cave Hotel, across the street. (both are good, old-fashioned hotels) but this beach is the heart and soul of the visitor's MoBay. The sand is silky and white, the ocean is warm and remarkable calm and it's long enough you can usually find a private spot. There are restaurants and hotels on the beach and nearby; it is very casual and laid back. Some of the hotels will bring you drinks form their beach bars. There are nightclubs and dance places, ringing with calypso, Soca and Reggae at night. An International airport (MBJ) makes it easy to get to. Air Jamaica is surprisingly good, often with the best schedules from Miami and New York.
