Check out the maze -- and this makes a good place to stop and stretch and have a pineapple snack on your way to the North Shore (bathroom stop a plus). May not have the "wow" factor that other tourist attractions may have -- after all, this is the humble pineapple that has been a part Hawaii's history. Back in the day (and still in view today) are the pineapple fields. Back then, there were more.

This was a pretty fun visit. Never knew there's actually a Dole Plantation until we visited here. When you arrive into the parking long, you will see colorful and beautiful pineapple leaves. I didn't know it until I looked at them closely. Many people would come here early like at 9am just to take pictures and walk around the outside.
There are many different sizes and ages of pineapples and a pond of Kois which you all can feed. I believe the fish food is 25 cents. Fish food machines are near the Kois. 25 cents will give you one hand full of fish food. You would be amazed seeing these Kois eat, I sure was.
There are tickets for riding the train throughout the field. I think it was $5-$10 per person. They do have a dole plantation maze, however, we did not get to experience that because it rained and that exhibit was closed. Disappointed. Overall, the visit was good. Perfecto for kids and family fun!

The Dole Plantation is a fun place to visit. I came here to check out everything it had to offer. Well almost everything. It had a taste of their pineapple yogurt. I went through their pineapple maze. And, I took their little tour on the railroad. Everything was fun, and I would recommend you coming here at least just once to check it out.
Plus at the end of the railroad ride, they have us all a free sample of their yummy pineapples!
The pineapple yogurt was good, when we got there the line was super long. It could have been because a tour bus had just arrived. Not sure but that is my guess. After we took a ride on the railroad, the line was a lot shorter. Good time for us!
From there, we headed to the maze. It was fun finding all the landmarks they have you look for. Don't worry you won't get lost because they give you a map to use.
I enjoyed my time here, but I am not sure if it's something I would come to often.

If you're driving this way to get to the North Shore, you might as well stop at Dole Plantation for something sweet to eat or drink. Learn about the Dole history, take some photos of pineapples growing, and, if you're feeling daring, embark through the "world's largest maze" of hedges. Wear sunscreen if you're partaking in the latter, as you'll likely rack up a healthy tan while you're meandering through the course.

Yeah, that's right - pineapples is where it's at. Forget those banana things. Pineapple everything....pineapples on your hot dog, in your pizza, in soft serve and in your cup. Blends great with rum too. Have they made deep fried pineapples????
Who knew that such a cockeyed looking brown thing would hold such golden splendor. And where to learn more about this than the Dole Plantation?!?!?!?
Just watch out for the maze.....don't be a dumb ass like me and try to follow lil kids cutting through the bushes to get out. I did....and I hurt myself. Enough about me...back to that syrupy sweet juicy goodness known as the apple of the pine. Go get one and discover it for yourself! I'm sure it's healthy too.
