The Miracle Lake. It was created 13 years ago when havy rainfalls caused huge landslides that changed the area. On the bottom is a hole that is full of sand so the water can not flow. In october 2011 was a floding probably caused by the water from the lake. Im not sure if the lake still exist...

When you think of the Caribbean you think of beautiful beaches, white sand, and clear blue water. But there is more to the Caribbean than resorts and laying on the beach and Dominica shows you exactly what else you’re missing.
Dominica is mainly a mountainous island of rainforests. It rains the majority of the year and the water feeds into amazing waterfalls. The island is still being formed by volcanic activity under the surface which gives way to Sulfuric Hot Springs.
Because of these hot springs, Dominica is home to amazing spas only visited by those “in the know”.
The creole culture is found all over the island from the food, to the music, to the events like The World Creole Music Festival.
If you plan to hit the Caribbean, make sure the best kept secret island of Dominica is on your list.
