open 7 days a week – serves traditional Costa Rican food – a lot of the food is fried pub style food.
This is one of two restaurants in town that serves draft beer. A lot of the food at this restaurant is fried. On Mondays, they serve “heuesos” which translates to “bones”. These are deep fried pieces of pork on the bone. Some have lots of meat and some have very little meat. This is a popular dish among the locals. We recommend the Chifrijo. It is a Costa Rican dish. It is a tomato, bean, rice mixture with a soup base. It comes topped with deep fried bits of pork and tortilla chips.
Directions: From the gas station, in the direction of the airport, 1 mile on the right hand side.
