snorkelers will be amazed - small grouper and lots of reef fish in blazing yellow and blue. The smaller kids loved it...but there are nothing like the cenote dives at the resort. Almost nobody dives there - and i don't know why! AmazingRecommended for:Family Travelers

I was amazed how crisp and clean the water was in these cenotes! It was a bit scary at first to swim in a dark cave with bats flying around but I soon realized there was nothing to worry about. There weren't any scary creatures in the water and the bats didn't bother us at all.

Dos Ojos Cenotes is a magical cenotes system that is very popular with divers and snorkelers alike. There are two eyes (two major cave systems) that are connected by underwater passageways. in this cavern system, bats (inside) and swallows (outside) find peace with human divers and snorkels. The stallatites and stalacmites are amazing here both above and below water. Must bring own flash light since there are no artifical lighting set up inside the caves. What a wonderful way to explore what nature has to offer us.
