The hotel is between Pioneer Square and Downtown, so it is not the best of neighborhood. There aren't a lot of businesses around, so it gets really deserted at night. Occasionally, you will see some homeless people wandering up and down the street. The hotel itself is nice. It has an arctic explorer themed decor and it kind of transports you to a different era. I quite like it. The room and bathroom are very spacious. There is a chic cocktail lobby bar.

This hotel takes you to another era. Amazing bar on the second level. Take a peek in to the ballroom if there isn't a wedding booked.

A couple blocks to the shopping district and walking to restaurants.

This boutique hotel in Seattle was once a private club for gentleman adventurers and Gold Rush tycoons, and that vibe is still reflected in the rooms, featuring steamer trunk side tables. Sip a cocktail next to the absinthe fountain in the Polar Bar. With free wifi and an excellent hotel restaurant in Juno, this is a great base for exploring summer in Seattle.

Really nice hotel for a reasonable price. This is Pioneer Square, which is close to downtown – maybe a 10 minutes walk from Pike Place Market. Love the bar downstairs, and the rooms are very nice. I thought the office supplies at the work desk in the room (scissors and things like that) was a nice touch.

The Arctic Club has such a boutique vibe, you kind of forget it’s part of the Doubletree chain. The room had a sort of old fashioned vibe, but still with really modern amenities (flat screen TV, iPhone dock, etc), and it really is a decent size. I had a great experience with the staff, too - but it’s easy to butter me up with a cookie when I check in.

Food and drinks: definitely get a martini at the Polar Bar, they’re excellent. Breakfast at Juno is really good – I liked that they offered smoothies and oatmeal if you’re not feeling up to a heavy breakfast. If you are, hello crab cake benedict! They also have Brandied French toast and a few different types of omelets.

If you’re flying into Seattle, don’t pay for a cab all the way downtown - take the Light Rail. It starts at the airport and takes you straight downtown for $2.50, and you can get off at the Pioneer Square station, just a couple blocks from the Arctic Club.

This was a really nice, comfortable stay in a cool location, and is especially quality considering the affordable price. The amenities are very modern, but I thought it had a very old world feel, which is really neat. The bar is maybe a little bit pricey, but they have an amazing selection of really awesome cocktails. The room was lovely, really well furnished and comfy, and the service was outstanding.

Right downstairs is a piroshki place, which are Russian sort of pastries that can be either sweet or savory. This place is great - in my opinion, as good as the more famous Piroshki Piroshki in Pike Place Market. Technically the Arctic Club is located in Pioneer Square, which has tons of great restaurants, but you’re also a short walk from Chinatown - so if you’re into sushi or any type of Asian cuisine, check that out. Also, the Seattle Mystery Bookshop is on Cherry Street just a block away - my favorite bookstore in the city (and there’s tons!).
