Very nice, recently remodeled Doubletree with a good downtown location. It's not right on top of the river and other other downtown hotels, but it's still within a short walk of the Mag Mile and plenty of other things.

The first thing I noticed about the Doubletree was the hot pink wall right when you walk in the lobby. It's so bright and gives the hotel a fun, playful vibe. A glowing blue bar packed with people also contributed to the funky ambiance, while a grand staircase leading to the meeting rooms and banquet halls kept it feeling luxurious.
Connected to both Einstein's Bagels and Markethouse, an excellent farm to table restaurant, the hotel offers both comfort and convenience in the heart of Streeterville. Many Chicagoans overlook this East Side neighborhood by the water, but I suggest getting out and eating your way through the area.Recommended for:

The rooms in the Double Tree are very open and bright. Normally I would recommend the Lake View, but here the City view is actually a little bit better. Be careful of the Mini-Bar, it's sensor-operated. If you pick up the food and look at it for more than 45 seconds, you will be charged for that item. If you want snacks, Dominick’s is right around the corner. The hotel has a fitness center and an exclusive parking lot. It costs to park your car here, but you are able to take your car in and out an unlimited amount of times. The attached Market House is a great restaurant, but more tempting is Einstein Brothers Bagels, which has maybe the best bagels in the city.
