Part of the Hilton Family of hotels. Got my Doubletree signature cookie. That was probably the best part of the stay.
I stayed in a basic one King bed room with a view of the park across the street. The bed was comfortable. I wished there was a fridge in the room though.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I was in a hurry each morning and staff let me use the breakfast voucher at the coffee bar for a coffee and pastry of choice.
Paid self-parking garage was accessible via an upper floor walkway or one could walk around to the garage from the front lobby doors.

The first time I ever visited the Doubletree, I was accompanying a friend to one of those get-rich-quick house-flipping intros, where they try to get you to sign up for an expensive seminar. It was so stuffy (literally), and I remember joking that the organizers (or the hotel) had somehow limited the oxygen in their conference rooms in order to break people down. I probably wouldn't hold a conference here simply because I find the ventilation awful.
That said, the rooms aren't half bad and some even have balconies. The location is also great (just next to the MAX light rail, a few minutes to downtown). Another cool feature is that they have an enormous interactive digital touchscreen board in their lobby with information on dining, weather, local events, etc. And guests even get free, fresh-baked cookies (I hear this is standard at Doubletrees).
My verdict: stay here, but stay away from the conference rooms.Recommended for:Business Travelers

This hotel is conveniently located in the Broadway district of Portland, right across the street from the Lloyd Center Mall, which is anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's.
It is also adjacent to the Holladay Park for strolling or relaxing, and the lightrail Max moves right behind the hotel's main building.
It is a 15 story building with an outdoor pool and decent exersize room. The guest rooms were larger than average (I had a King), and the bonus was that the walls are not paper thin, so you don't have to hear what the person(s) are doing next to you.
The adjacent convention/meeting center is a bit of a joke, however. It is really part of the parking garage, carpted and converted, but with no air conditioning or full ameneties for a large group of people.
We had a group event rate in August of $121.

This is a big bustling, mainly business, Hilton hotel located in the Lloyd Center area of NE Portland close to the Oregon Convention Center, Rose Garden, quite central to the rest of Portland.
It is a spacious, modern, not too noisy, very active place to be especially at lunchtime. This is not a cozy hotel, at least at the lobby, but it has an elegant energy where suits and ties appear to be the norm.
The rooms are very clean, modern, and reasonably priced currently at between $169 and $189 for a standard room. Amenities include wifi for a fee, but most other room amenities are inclusive. Wifi in the public areas is free. There are restaurants/cafés in-hotel and a gift shop.
The staff were excellent, professional and very courteous. As it was an extremely busy time when I visited, I had to wait a while in the comfortable lobby. Full of apology the Sales Manager found me some food while I waited for just ten minutes. Nice considerate touch!
If the big convention-type hotel is not for you, you may be pleasantly surprised with the Doubletree!
