Sadly this part of town has gone through its ups and downs. Currently on a down swing offering little of interest.

Yawn. Some fun stuff to do for younger children, but a lot of it is pretty cheesy stuff and a lot of chain stuff. Outside of its theme parks Orlando isn't really a very interesting place.

Fun place for all your Disney shopping & dining. Parking is free!
There's also a huge AMC theatre - best place to catch a movie.

Downtown Orlando is a very trendy place where the beatiful people meet. Very refreshing after some folks you see at the theme parks. Lots of good restaurants and clubs. There is a amazing cigarshop annex bar.

This is a little vague for a Things To Do category. Lake Eola is still one of my favorite places in Orlando. Especially on the weekends when the farmer's market is going on. Other events usually have Lake Eola as its backdrop.
Church Street is perfect for a night out with friends. Amway Arena is close by. Plenty of eateries and shopping in the area.

Great place to hang out and shop, the downtown has a pretty skyline and there's even a giant lake out there. Try the Orlando Mall.

Description:

Downtown Orlando had modest beginnings, starting first as an occupation by Native-American Creek and Seminole tribes. European settlers arrived in 1837, adding a fort and a town that later grew into a center of citrus and cattle production. Today, the grand boutiques, malls and extravagant restaurants attract visitors from all over the world to this popular destination. Museums and entertainment venues cater to the over 20,000 residents that live here.
