Plenty to do at downtown San Diego. There are typical shopping areas, tourist places, and gaslamp district to enjoy your day.

Downtown San Diego is great and the trolley provides a nice option for those who don't want to walk everywhere. The location is perfect with the bay wrapping around the downtown area, the nearby harbor, and the many great dining experiences.

San Diego is one of the most enjoyable and relaxing places to visit, and there's something to do there for everyone. The beaches, though quite busy in the summer, are always great; especially mission beach. The sands are hot, the waters are cold, and the women are beautiful. I personally feel walking down the board walk you get a true feel for what california is all about. There's just people everywhere lounging, enjoying the weather, people exercising, people tanning, and everyone's smiling. However, there's so much more to San Diego than just the beaches. If you want a relaxing day a long the water and to do a little shopping, there's no place better than Seaport Village where the grass is always green, the people are friendly, and the numerous shops are full of unique gifts and clothes. For those animal lovers, there is also an amazing zoo and of course the famous Sea World to visit, which are great for the families or even just a couples day out. However it was my state at the 32nd Street Base a few years ago that really got me to appreciate the city. Unknown to me as even a common visitor until I stayed for an extended period was the amazing passenger rail system they have that goes throughout the city. This makes it great for traveling into downtown and through all the great sites relaxing and enjoyable. No worries about parking or traffic, just board at one of the numerous stops and it will take you throughout the city. San Diego is simply an amazing city, with great weather and so much to offer to any type of traveler, and I personally look forward to one day living there.

Description

Downtown San Diego is separated into nine distinctly different neighborhoods. The Seaport Village and Gaslamp Quarter districts are two of the most popular. Seaport Village is home to a huge shopping and dining complex. After eating and buying a few souvenirs, you can ride the 100 year old carousel or go for a ride on a horse drawn carriage. The Gaslamp Quarter may be more your speed if you want ... read more
to watch a Padres game at PETCO Park or go to a street festival. Once the sun goes down, you can let your hair down at Cesar Cigar Lounge & Wine Bar or one of the many bars and clubs in the area.
