It’s a lesser-known fact that the Croatian peoples who immigrated to the Gulf Coast area helped to found some of the strongest fishing communities in the outlying areas surrounding New Orleans. They’re especially known for their skills as oystermen, and in 1969, Drago Cvitanovich drew from this community of knowledge and experience to found his own restaurant. When Drago’s son, Tommy took over managing his father’s namesake in 1993, he also invented a legendary charbroiled oysters recipe that is so delicious, on a busy day, their grills churn out more than 900 dozen of them.

Go during lunch and get the stuffed lobster or grilled oysters, no exceptions. If you can, trek out to Metairie, and dine at the original location, and you might get served by the owner. However, if you go here, you might have to put up eating with celebrities, though I know that's such a hardship.
