    The Guinness Storehouse

St James Gate, Dublin 8, Co. Dublin, Ireland
    4.5
    103 reviews

After this tour, I've gained the appreciation of enjoying a Guiness. The tour was definitely touristy but the best part is the free pint while on the top floor of the facility. You see the entire city of Dublin (360 degrees). The gentleman in the frame is Arthur Guiness, founder of the company.

The book of Kells is a wonder, and the Long Room itself made an impression on me despite getting a lot of that in Cambridge. But also worth exploring the college.

My favorite of the tourist sights. A must-see explanation of Irish history and the struggle for independence coupled with a tour of Ireland's most famous jail. A guided tour is required so plan in advance to avoid being disappointed. During busy times, the tours sell out well in advance so you could end up waiting for a bit. There is ...

Helped me get around. I used it to help me move from place to place a landmark so I wouldn't get lost. Also very nice to look at while sightseeing.

I can't actually pin point exactly what it is about Trinity College but you really should visit it, especially as it's location is so central. The building itself is just beautiful and it is nice to just walk around the grounds. They do tours too but we just wandered off on our own when we went last time.

Lovely wide boulevard running down to central Dublin. Good shopping off the side streets, or so the wife thought. :) The hotel staff advised me to watch my wallet, but as someone used to NYC it seemed very safe to me.

Really nice stop in the small town of Dun Laoghaire, Ireland. Historical, literary, nice people and amazing views from the top. Great for kids and adults.

Oldest pub in Ireland established in 1198. Had to stop in to enjoy lunch and a Guiness. The roast beef was amazing.

This is the worlds most popular bar and landmark within the Temple Bar District. Ironically, the district is named after this famed bar. This is a lively place with great beer selection and live Irish music. It gets crowded so expect to stand.

Seriously, this is the most beautiful place I visited during my short time in Dublin. Everything has its place and the park is well thought out. The colors in this park are mesmerizing. Sometimes, there is a man who comes and talks to the ducks.

Not the most amazing tour ever, but I'm a fan of the history and science of distillation, so I rather enjoyed it. The blind tasting at the end is fun as well.

Popular tourist attraction in Dublin north of the Liffey river. Old buildings with cobblestone roads make this attractive. Plenty of restaurants, entertainment, and bars here.

My favorite pub from our trip to Dublin. A bit more Bohemian than the typical Temple Bar pub. Fewer tourists, art from local painters, and a very friendly atmosphere.

Definitely a fun spot to go to! It's right in the middle of the good stuff and there was live music when we were there too. Lost of cute drunken Irishmen too :)

Cool pub made famous by the band the Dubliners, who apparently used to hang out here. Its a pretty small pub, with wood paneled walls. Had a very historic and homey feel. Some nights they have live music here (though they didn't when we came) - mostly traditional Irish folk music. Would love to come here for that.
