Very beautiful both inside and out. I'm not very familiar with chapels but the building was absolutely stunning, I took so many pictures!

Amazing! Most gorgeous chapel in the Southeast, and it's in the Top 5 in the nation. Plus, it's surrounded by the outstanding neo-Gothic campus of the prestigious Duke University, the elegant and breath-taking Sarah P Duke Gardens, the exquisite and eclectic Nasher Museum of Art on Duke's campus and Cameron Indoor Stadium, the most electrifying and exiting place in the world to play basketball! The Duke Medical School is also on campus and is rated in the Top 5 in the country every year. East Campus is Georgian and a sight to behold..... No better place to be in Carolina!

Description

This interdemoninational church opened in 1932 on a high ridge in the center of the Duke campus. The soaring 210-foot-tall collegiate gothic building contains a 50-bell carillon and three organs, including one with a whopping 6,900 pipes. Several people are buried in the crypt below the church, including three presidents of the university. The church remains the center of spiritual life on campus, and makes efforts to welcome people of all faiths.
