Duncan's Woods has made its good quality jewelry boxes, cribbage boxes and domino boxes here in the Pacific Northwest since 1981. The owner has a tent (river side) at the Portland Saturday Market and I can't resist stopping by if I'm in town during that time. The prices are also very reasonable for such fine looking and tactilely pleasing wood boxes. Last Sunday I bought a nice small box made of Bubinga and Maple with a nice Turquoise inlay on top. And the brass pin hinges do add a simple elegance to the piece.

The owner also sells on ebay under dunc51 and offers a different selection from week to week. If you're a sucker for fine wood boxes like I am, Duncan's Woods is definitely worth a look.
