I love the vibe of this little town!
It is kind of vintage shops meet modern day cowboys and I like it!
Full of coffee shops and nice friendly people this is where you hang after a day on the slopes.
Purgatory is the reason people want to go to Durango but there are also some really cool day trips just out of the city.
The Durango Steamtrain up to Silverton is a must!

Located where Colorado Highways 550 and 160 meet, Durango is the perfect place to stop for the night. Durango is one of the few towns that is large enough you will be able to find whatever you need for your road trip.

Durango is a great city along the Animas River. The historical downtown is full of outdoor gear for all types of sports and plenty of restaurants. Fort Lewis College blankets the city offering a small town college feel.

Durango is a nice little mountain town in the south of Colorado. The downtown area is full of fun shops and restaurants. You can walk the downtown fairly quickly, but then you can take the train right off the main boulevard and enjoy the fresh mountain air and see the greatness that this city has to offer from the comfy seat of an old time train.

It is the typical old minerary town with nice hotels and saloon, surrounded by beautiful mountains all around. It is possible to rent a bike to explore the areas around. There is an old train connecting it to Silverton.
