Durham Bulls Athletic Park
409 Blackwell St, Durham, NC, United States
In 1988, a little movie called Bull Durham changed everything. The old ballpark (about a mile away) now hosts college ball and the beer festival while the DBAP hosts over 300,000 visitors a year, the highest number in minor league ball. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were at the majors in the expertly designed stands, but small town Americana reigns with Wool E. Bull's t-shirt cannon, kid base-running after each game, and a replica of the 'Hit Bull, Win Steak' sign from the eponymous movie. (Yes, the bull's nostrils really do steam after a home run.) Games run April to early September.
