After eating a great meal and having your frozen hot chocolate at the Serendipity3, do what we did and walk to the corner at 60th street, and waltz through Dylan's Candy Bar. It's a candy lover's paradise!Recommended for:

A semisweet stream for customers to plunge into headfirst like Augustus Gloop is about the only Wonkaesque thing missing from Dylan's Candy Bar, the supersize candy store across the street from Bloomingdale’s. (We're guessing it was the astronomical insurance premiums, plus the difficulty of hiring Oompa Loompas these days.) The brainchild of Dylan (daughter of Ralph) Lauren and Jeff Rubin (an FAO Schweetz co-creator), Dylan's is a dentist's nightmare of Skittles and M&Ms, a Pez zone, and custom-made sundaes, from Demolition Cookie Derby to Candy Bar Blast.

5 stars because the name says it all. You wont be disappointed (well maybe by the crowd on the middle floor). 2 floors if candy galore. My kids love Dylan's actual candy bars.. Tiramisu, red velvet, s'mores etc. i have to admit my husband & I went to Serendipity diwn the street & the wait was too long. We went straight to Dylan's 3rd floor & had a huge 3 scoop ice cream sundae at the dessert bar.It was out if this world!Recommended for:

Do you like candy and sweets? Do you want to select from a large variety of well known and more unusual treats? Dylan's Candy Bar is a good place for kids of all ages. Although this brainchild of Dylan Lauren (daughter of Ralph) has expanded to malls throughout the country, the 3rd Avenue location (near Bloomingdale's) is the original location. This is a perfect place to buy little gifts...Package them in one of Dylan's cute containers (for a price, of course) or go more basic with a less extravagant logo bag at no cost.Recommended for:

I love candy! And personalization.....
I love being able to pick out exactly what color gummy worms I want and get just the right amount of chocolate pretzels and nerds......
Then it's all by weight and totally delish!!!!
What a colorful heaven for the whole family!?!Recommended for:

If you have kids, they will be in awe of this place, as will any adult with a sweet tooth. Bonus points for being close to Serendipity III, home of the world's best frozen hot chocolate! Wait here until your table is ready.Recommended for:

CANDY CANDY CANDY CANDY! Just stick it straight into my veins! Wait, how much does it cost? Oh... well perhaps I'll just admire it visually then.
Dylan's Candy Bar is a fun spot for anyone that likes sweets or brightly colored visuals. It's fun, packed with people and iconic, but it's also expensive and... packed with people.Recommended for:

Big, bright, colorful candy store in midtown! The prices for the bulk candy are a bit high for what it is (malt balls, gummy candy, M&Ms, etc), but the store itself is very cool. The clear floors are filled with candy! I believe that they also have ice cream upstairs.
