As the name suggests, Artists & Fleas is this whimsical flea market that gathers wonderful vintage finds from local artists, artisans and jewelry makers. You can find anything from clothes, shoes, jewelry to cool books and old vinyl records. There is even a DJ jamming for the bohemian-chic, hipster crowd scouring the stands. Best thing you could do after an ...

I've met lots of great people here. My friends' bands also play here often so maybe I'm biased. I feel like they never have stouts or porters. That should change.

One of the best Sunday activities for both Brooklynites and Manhattanites, scouring for vintage finds. Best location ever - by the Williamsburg Waterfront, exposed to spectacular city views, access to the ferry, new developments and overall hip & clean surroundings. The food market Smorgasburg happens each Saturday during the warmer season. Lots of hip, trendy people stop by.

The line to get in can be really long and move obnoxiously slow but once you get inside (and fight someone for a seat) it is a really cool place to spend the day with your friends and drink some delicious beer. Always good to bring some playing cards!

Great place for some incredible views of Manhattan and to get some fresh(er) air. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was nowhere near as crowded as I expected which was nice.

Great people watching, exercise options, an awesome old pool... and you can ride your bike all around it and frighten women pushing strollers.

I love this place! I came here a few weeks ago after my BF heard about it - he was very pleased to find an awesome place that I wasn't already aware of :-) I was definitely impressed. Their menu is awesome & organized in a way that's very helpful to someone with an analytical mind. I felt like I ...

Beacon's Closet in Brooklyn is Mecca for thrift shoppers all over NYC. Other locations in Park Slope at Greenwich Village are good too, but neither can compete with this huge warehouse of clothing and accessories, for both men and women. Clothing is organized by item and then by color and then by size, trying to eliminate some of the chaos ...

This seemingly obscure bar in East Village's Ave B is a treasure hunt for music lovers. People all over the world come here, whether it's for the bluegrass Mondays or jazz Tuesdays. There is no charge, just a suggested donation, and a bunch of incredible musicians jamming together, taking swings to cram their instruments close to the microphone. Doesn't get ...

First- I don't actually go to clubs. Second- I have not been here during club time. I was here for an art exhibit which took place in the more low-key lounge area. However, I know the events/media person there through social media and was given a tour of the main club room. This place is a must if you enjoy ...

After visiting Beacon's Closet, Buffalo Exchange is my next choice in the Williamsburg Thrift scene. Wacky, trendy, and overall fashionable items are all found here, and usually at cheap prices. Buffalo buys for the season, so bulky sweaters are in excess in fall and spring clothing can be found before the leaves turn green again. The location in Astoria also ...
