Nice roof top bar at the top of Eataly. Fills up quickly after work so arrive early to avoid a long line. Offers a good selection of beer, wine, and light bites. There are nice glimpses of the Empire State Building. Crowd is definitely more Midtown than Downtown so expect a lot of dress pants and starched shirts.

Broadway, as the theater term, refers to the scale of a show not just the street the theater is on. Don't think that all the good shows are "on Broadway". There's plenty of smaller shows that are worth seeing.

Very interesting on incorporating the history of art and sex. The evolution of how far we have come from accepting our sexuality back then to concealing it today as a taboo.

The epicentre of a bustling mix of activities, Union Square is a must stop in downtown NYC. The park is great for a lunch break on a sunny day, although sketchy at night. This wine bar is not only a local favorite but has one of the best wine selections I've seen. Don't be surprised to always find it packed. Perfect spot for a small get together or a work after-party for a small team. Snacks are worth a shot as well.

If you're longing for East Village's punk-rock past and its mecca Trash and Vaudeville store - at the same location since the 1970s - Saint Mark's Pl is where you should go. Named after the progressive St Mark's Church, it has become today more of a tourist destination full of random vendors, authentic Japanese eateries, tattoo stores and various nightclubs.

This dimly lit bar/restaurant isn't called L'Amant (lover) for nothing. Its intimate feel seductively decorated with Chinoiserie wallpaper takes you back either to Paris' charming bistros or to Shanghai's French Concession in the 1930s and its painted beautiful girls.
