There's nothing like a good broadway show. You can get some great deals on last-minute tickets. Just go a couple minutes before the show starts. Of course, you'd have to be okay with the chance of not getting any tickets!

My favorite place to relax outside and people watch on my lunch break. The surrounding area has great restaurants and food trucks AND you cannot go wrong with Shake Shack.

Flatiron Building is a true architectural marvel, unique and probably one of the most recognized symbols of New York City. A must to see when visiting NYC and don't forget to bring your camera.

Not the best rooftop that New York City has - a bit touristy for my taste - but you certainly can't beat this view, and the massive space that the rooftop garden has. Winter time, you even get a blanket to cover yourself with.

Nice roof top bar at the top of Eataly. Fills up quickly after work so arrive early to avoid a long line. Offers a good selection of beer, wine, and light bites. There are nice glimpses of the Empire State Building. Crowd is definitely more Midtown than Downtown so expect a lot of dress pants and starched shirts.

Great smaller club where sparklers are going off around you all night and the music keeps getting better. What they are most known for is their face paint which they generously apply on Patrons to truly embrace the Tiki Vibe of the bar. They even serve drinks out of real coconuts which are quite delicious! Usually only take table reservations ...

My Favorite Club from "back in the day" has been turned into a Fashion Marketplace? This was a former church turned club turned mall. I gave it 3 stars because they kept the integrity of the structure. Worth a look for that reason only. The marketplace not so much.

It's nice for a piano lounge, if you're into that sort of thing. Just had rum and coke which was decent, but of course drinks are overpriced as expected.

The Chelsea Goodwill usually has some pretty sweet finds for a bargain. It does tend to rotate between picked over and ripe for the picking, so be patient and visit various times.

One of my new favorite spots in New York. I simply love this park. I was actually not super excited when I first heard about it, but was pleasantly surprised upon visiting. It's a great way to stroll leisurely down the West Side, above the fray of city streets in a truly green and innovative setting. We should repurpose all ...

Today this place is a beautiful open park with a number of places for food and drink behind the NY Public Library. It used to be an overgrown crime/drug ridden disaster. I point this out to show how things can change not just for the better, but for the great. It's also know for its Summer time movie Mondays, Ice ...

You can't come to New York without a walk around Central Park. In the summer it's teeming with families enjoying the sun, boating, biking and sunning. There are softball games to watch and walks to go on. There is so much to do in one park you could visit it multiple times and never see the same thing twice.

The High Line is a beautiful and unusual way to see NYC. It once was a New York Subway line that has been turned into a park and walking area complete with art installations and gardens. It's nice to see parts of the city from above the sidewalk too!
