Even though it has the same Rat Pack-era history, Eden Roc often gets overshadowed by the big place next door—Fontainebleau. It can’t compete on the nightclub or range of restaurants level but it does have some great amenities worth checking out. One is 1500 Degrees, the farm-to-table restaurant, even if you just have a habanero-spiced cocktail at the bar. The second is the new ELLE Spa, hidden away on the mezzanine level. It feels like walking into the pages of ELLE Decor, although the spa menu is on the pricey side. Rooms here mostly have a typical rectangular hotel room layout, but I spent most of my time on one of the comfy sofa chairs on the patio. The bell staff were super friendly and eager to help—even if that meant taking us—baby, dog, luggage and all—down a freight elevator to expedite our check out.Recommended for:

This is no longer managed by Marriot so not status applies unfortunately. Lobby bar has great retro feel. Pool and beach are nice if not a little crowded. Had an ocean view room that sort of overlooked the parking lot and roof . Staff super nice and helpful.

The massive lobby bar is a swanky tribute to Miami Beach's golden era. It's one of this city's grand hotel bars where you'd expect to see James Bond waltz up and order it shaken, no stirred. Yet, beyond the bar itself, I couldn't find a lot to love about this hotel. Rooms are nice. It's got a decent pool. But nothing mind-blowing. And the downer is that you're so far up beach, you have to drive or taxi down to South Beach. And unlike say, the Shelborne, this probably isn't a hotel you'll want to simply stay at and never leave for other fun Miami spots. And you what, even the big party at the lobby bar? It felt like a party I wasn't invited to...

Cute hotel with a modern twist. The bar area is smack dab in the middle of the lobby! Great for young people but not that great for families. The pool area is nice as they have an adult area, infinity pool and a regular pool. There's also cabanas where you can hang out on the grass.
The rooms were nice sized with comfy beds and the bathroom was lovely. Very modern sinks etc.
If you need to get to South Beach you will have to take a taxi but it's not a big deal.
The only negative is check in was past 4pm...so we dropped luggage and went shopping on Lincoln.
