    Pyramids of Giza

    Cairo, Egypt
    4.5
    140 reviews

Obviously the pyramids are must see if you are in Egypt. Only thing that I did not liked here are the locals that are making hustle on you to sell their staff. They will do anything to take your money so be aware!

    Egyptian Museum

    Tahrir Square, Cairo Egypt
    4.5
    89 reviews

Best museum I have ever been to. I think our guide told us that if you were to stand in front of each artifact for 1 minute, it would take something like 40 years to see everything in the museum (so maybe these stats aren't exactly right, but the point is: there was a lot of stuff). My favorite section ...

    The Sphinx

    Al Qebleyah, Al Azbakeyah, Egypt
    4.5
    63 reviews

Amazing, pure and simple, but we all know that. The tourist location for the Sphinx and the Cairo pyramids is one and the same. I don't know why GoGobot treats them separately for review. Some things that made our visit interesting: The place is loaded with official police, nicely armed. They and the official-looking "guides" expect cash for pointing you ...

    Great Pyramid of Khufu

    49 reviews

The Great Pyramid, as its name suggests, is the largest of the three pyramids at Giza. It's the one that still has its smooth cap at the top.

    The Citadel

    Salah Salem Highway, Cairo Egypt
    4.5
    25 reviews

A must see in Cairo and not far from the other sights of the Islamic part of town. A complex consisting of a couple of mosques, including Mohammed Ali. We hated the Citadel view restaurant... which for some reason seems to be linked to this same entry. Not sure why.

    Al Azhar Park

Salah Salem Street, Cairo 11562 Egypt
    4.5
    23 reviews

    Islamic Cairo

    Cairo Egypt
    4.5
    22 reviews

I want to love Islamic Cairo for the history and beautiful mosques. I really do. I just can't stand this area of town: tons of traffic, endless noise, sidewalks and streets crammed with vendors, people, and animals. To me, it's a version of hell, but many people love the chaos. Of course everyone should see Al-Azhar Mosque and Hussein Mosque ...

    Cairo Tower

    Cairo, Cairo Governorate, Egypt

    23 reviews

I really enjoyed visiting here when I was a kid because once you get to the top of the tower you get an amazing view of Cairo. Not sure what it is like now and how well it's been kept up but a place where you get a second to none view.

Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids of Giza

    Giza Pyramids Plateau, Giza Egypt
    4.5
    15 reviews

I think if you were to choose seeing the pyramids during the day or at night, the sound and light show at night would be the way to go. At this time, the crowds are less hectic, the hagglers aren't as aggressive, and you can still see the pyramids well enough to get the gyst of how incredible they are. ...

    Mount Sinai

The hike to the top of Mt. Sinai for sunrise is spectacular and was a highlight of my trip to the Sinai. Try to get a start before the St. Catherine's Monastery crowd -- this will ensure you get a nice spot at the top for the view. The hike up is stunning -- camels, candle light, stars, and cobblestones. ...

Not a whole lot to see, though the Sadat display was particularly interesting. The inside of the library itself is quite impressive, though you can visit in ~15 mins. Highlight was the cafe across the street right on the shoreline..... excellent shisha and views
