Good tacos and burritos, with some standards like "breakfast" or some meat plus cheese, but also some different combinations. They also have salads. This is better than taco shack, but the salsa was disappointing which is why I gave it 3 stars (it is not spicy at all). Good for a bite to eat.

Oh my, try the cochinita pibil -- Yucatan braised pork tacos with a kiss of citrus. With its old school, walk-up vibe, El Chilito makes a perfect quick bite. There's no interior dining, just some picnic tables. But you came here for a quick snack/meal anyway. Wash it down with a tasty horchata (Mexican rice drink) or a cerveza. Several great veggie options, too.

This casual walk-up taqueria offers affordable interior Mexican and Tex-Mex staples, like fresh guacamole --all handmade to order in a quintessentially Austin atmosphere of colorful picnic tables and a covered side patio space that is kept heated and stocked with warm Mexican ponchos for patrons during the winter. Make sure to try the agua frescas of the day, like watermelon and mango, or the homemade sangria!

Much more than a taco stand. Full menu! Tacos, burritos, pescado, aguas frescas (great horchata), and paletas de crema y fruta! They even offer FREE wifi on the patio if you feel like frying outside. (password: ilovetacos). At least there's plenty of shade for the bearable temperatures. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 7-10, Sat 8-10, Sun 8-9

El Chilito is the little sibling of El Chile- but the fast food version. The restaurant is half way between a trailer and a restaurant. You order at the window, they call your number out and you can choose to eat it on one the many picnic tables or take it to go. The food is average, nothing spectacular. They have a handful of taco options that are pretty straightforward and appeal to a wide audience. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, then this is a good option.
