There's none of the scheming from Bali, none of the crowds and douchey backpackers from the Gilis. My favorite place on Lombok. It's not a party town like the Gilis, but it gets lively on Weds and Saturday nights, and the both the tourists and the locals are a far more likable lot.

This is THE party location on Lombok. Three times a week, there's a significant bash going on, and people are ALWAYS drinking. Diving and snorkelling are good, and without a police force, there are drugs everywhere. That said, I find the crowd here reprehensible, and the locals a little bit fake-friendly. Depends on what you're in for.
