This place has it all! Style, elegance, quality and every amenity I could ask for. From the lush carpets to the excellent service, I was pleased every step of the way. The rooftop pool with a view of the Acropolis was my favorite place in the hotel, next came the luxurious room with a spacious marble-lined bathroom. Much appreciated were the in-room safe and refrigerator, and they throw in free WiFi too. Breakfast in the restaurant at the top of the hotel, looking out at the Acropolis is a great way to start a day in Athens. The basement level houses another pool and a fitness room, although with all the walking around the city I couldn’t see using it much. Being close to Plaka and all the shopping and attractions Athens offers, while offering extensive amenities and superb quality make this one of the best options for your stay.

The breakfast area is spacious on the ground floor which is near the bar area but neither was as becoming as the comfortable seating at the roof top restaurant which had a great view of the Acropolis and the pool! The double room was very comfortable, super clean and with comfy bed. There’s a gym and pool on the first floor which appealed to me for it’s design. The use of wood in the overall decor gives the hotel a warm feel. The staff and reception are professional and very willing to assist with any needs. It’s location is great, the shops in Plaka and Ermou street are just 2 minutes away by foot, the cafe’s and restaurants on Adrianou street are about 5 minutes by foot.

This hotel is in the very centre of Athens. I had a room with a view on the Parthenon: fantastic. It has a small garden where to have breakfast , lunch or dinner. It has a nice restaurant on the roof top, with a swimming pool, from which you can swim looking at Parthenon. It is located in a very good position to take a walk in the most interesting parts of the old city.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The Electra Palace is in a central location with an amazing view. When I arrived much later than anticipated, the staff was gracious and generous, offering both an upgraded room (accepted) and to have the kitchen stay open a little late (declined). The size of the room and the view from it were amazing, however, I was not impressed with the actual room, which felt dated and cheap. Unfortunately, I was never able to use the pool or rooftop garden--both were selling points for the hotel. The downstairs breakfast area felt like a conference room with food to match. I'll probably look elsewhere on my next trip to Athens.
