Though technically a gay club, Ember's is a classic downtown dance spot for clubgoers of all orientations who want a good, unpretentious time on the dance floor. The music ranges from disco classics to top 40 favorites to all kinds of electronica, and other clubgoers are usually friendly and fun. Bring lots of cash (drinks are predictably expensive) and leave the heavy jackets at home - you'll be positively steamy after 20 minutes.

So you're in Downtown Portland at night and you have a hankering to see a real core Drag Show? Something that combines trashy, glam, moments of quiet beauty, and the chance to get wittily insulted by the hostess? This is true Eleganza Extravaganza. The place has a deep history after City Nightclub (RIP) and Darcelle XV (RIP, but I think it might have been revived) in presenting a platform for the gay, bi, and straight community to mingle and hang out. A great place to see bachlorettes get wasted and freaky then go dance to gay nightclub and 80s hits in the main room. Wow your friends with a bit of history and entertainment and don't forget to bring dollar bills.Recommended for:LGBT
