Italy has always been one of my favorite pavilions, but it took several visits to the real country to appreciate some of the detail here. Although there isn't too much to do here, the open space is great and the shows are always fun.

Hey, it is almost like going to Italy, well, not really but some of the structures are very familiar and the shops and restaurants do have product that could be sold in Italy.

While it is very picturesque, the Italy pavilion is rather sparse. The gondolas and columns remind you of Venice. The statues, especially Neptune at the fountain, give an air of timelessness and age at once.
But past that, you have the restaurant, a small shop with pastries and wines, and a few shops.
There is also a garden area, but it really doesn't hold a candle to ones in the pavilions of China, Japan or Germany.
I always wonder why more wasn't done here as I move on to the next pavilion.

Love the Italy pavilion at Epcot. It's one of my favorite pavilions to photograph.

One of the exciting things about Epcot's World Showcase is visiting one of the pavilions after a trip to the real place. Four months after a trip to Italy, I found myself at Epcot and really enjoying feeling like I was in Italy again.

Shopping highlights include wines and perfumes.

The Italy pavilion really reminds me of Italy, I was almost sure I walked to Italy by foot! The restaurant around the Italy Pavilion are very good, I had some Pasta, don't really remember which restaurant but all of the menu looked great!

I love the Italy pavillion at EPCOT. You can buy some Italian candy inside of the gift shop, get a slice of pizza at the Via Napoli pizza window, and sit in the piazza to people watch.

Make sure to take a walk to the water to enjoy the gondolas!

Description:

To get a taste of Italy without leaving the US, check out the Italy Pavilion at Disney's Epcot theme park. The Italy Pavilion evokes the architecture, culture, and food of its namesake country in one large, busy plaza. During a day at the Pavilion, you can enjoy the Neptune Fountain, built to resemble the Trevi Fountain in Rome, and the Il Bel Cristalo shop, whose exterior facade transports you to the Sistine Chapel. After your site-seeing, enjoy a dinner of traditional Italian food at Tutto Italia or Via Napoli Pizzeria E Ristorante. Finally, finish your evening with a live performance in the piazza from actors, clowns, or musicians.
