    University of Oregon

The University itself is allright. The campus is clean and the area is quite calm. A lot of people come here from the Portland area to go to school. Not exactly the best place to escape (if you're looking to) but far enough so you're not at home.

    Hayward Field

This is like only of the biggest track and field locations in I'd say the US. While I'm not a huge track and field fan I can say though that the facilities are nice and it's definitely a place you want to see if you're touring campus.

Probably our favorite winery when we went wine tasting in the area. Oregon is famous for its Pinot Noir, but the Pinot Gris here is outstanding. Also, a very nice feature of this winery is the excellent restaurant that is part of the facility. So come here for lunch and a little tasting.

We enjoy a wealth of entertainment year-round at the Hult. See if you can figure out why we say that seeing a show at the Silva Concert Hall is like sitting under a lawnchair (yes, under).

I ended up spending most of the weekend here, at the DisOrient Film Festival, but from the looks of the lobby posters, it seems like the Bijou is the place to be for indie/arts films. It's a converted church - the theater is intimate - you're able to see the screen quite well from even the last row (which was ...

Went to a show at the Lord Leebrick Theatre, and I loved it. They are moving to a new building soon - they may already be there - but their actors are talented and put on a great show.
