    Eiffel Tower

    1497 reviews

The Eiffel Tower is a must see in Paris. That is, you can´t miss it, but it´s worth the trip up the stairs or the elevators. Spectacular view from the top :)

    Louvre Museum

    709 reviews

Oye. This place is mammoth. One tip is that it's open on Wednesday and Friday until 9:45pm, if you feel like strolling without the massive crowds. You may want to download the free Rick Steves audio tour app before you head in. Don't do the rental. Waste of money. You can also buy tickets in advance while shopping at FNAC ...

    Notre Dame Cathedral

    573 reviews

A really nice Gothic cathedral. You can go inside and have tours to other areas, but there doesn't seem to be much of a chance for free exploring. I actually enjoyed feeding the birds outside more as they actually land on your hand to eat your food!

    London Eye

    566 reviews

This is the first attraction that I visited in London. I cannot forget my first day in London. I had booked a taxi for a day with a company called Totally Driven and the driver who came to pick me was the one who suggested me this attraction. He also suggested Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Madame Tussauds. At the ...

    Arc de Triomphe

    574 reviews

Great to see, plus it's at the end of a very well-known street. Didn't stop by here too long, so if you do, you might get more out of it than I did.

This is another must see sight. If you are going to do the tour, you mist sign up for them early. Honestly, they're a little more pricier, and they don't take you anywhere you can't see yourself. And make sure you're getting your tour from the people that are supposed to be doing them. Taking the time to take this ...

    La Sagrada Família

    433 reviews

La Sagrada Família is, despite its unique and stunning architecture, not among my favorite spots in Barcelona. Antoni Gaudí has done some marvelous works around Barcelona and in my opinion you can find less touristy works of art elsewhere in the city. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful piece of art that everyone should be able to see at least once!

    Tower Bridge

Something I always used to like doing was standing in the middle with one leg either side of the gap. Best avoided during the London Marathon.

    Avenue des Champs-Élysees

    451 reviews

Starting from the Louvre, seeing the Arc de Triomphe in the distance, may appear as an easy walk, but it really really isn't. You will only, and only ever want to do it once as it is such a long drag and can take up much of your time in Paris, which isn't great if you only have a day, ...

It really surprised me how this is just around the corner, we were just walking along and it was all of the sudden there. It is usually a bit crowded though.

The Seine river edge makes a great place to walk, especially at sunrise or sunset when the light is low and makes the rock/brick banks glow.

    Basilique du Sacre-Coeur

    317 reviews

Forget the Eiffel Tower, instead wander up the winding cobbled streets and steps to the beautiful Basilique du Sacre-Coeur – the highest point in Paris. Overlooking the twinkling lights of this romantic city, with the stunning landmarks as a backdrop, it sets the scene perfectly. And, if all goes according to plan, spend the night in this area, dining in ...

    Park Güell

Spectacular! I'll definitely be going back there before I leave Barcelona. The day I went it was a bit crowded but it was a Sunday. I'm hoping next time there won't be quite so many people. Regardless, it was incredible! Went back on a weekday during the day (also during November, the off season) and it was very nice! Much ...

Charming and slightly shameless monument to empire, this is for many of us the centre of London. If you've not started a romance amongst the pigeons, you are not a Londoner!

One of the wonders of the world. If you're not impressed by this, you're dead inside. Just be careful with the crowds in the high season. Best visited in the autumn.

    Tower of London

    246 reviews

Everyone who goes wants to see the Crown Jewels which is where lines can be excruciatingly long (I've heard up to 2+ hr waits during the peak of summer). The cafe inside the tower isn't bad -- definitely eat there instead of the less than mediocre options near the entrance.

    Hagia Sophia

    217 reviews

This is one of the few places on the earth where mosaics of the Virgin Mary with Jesus can be seen next to the Arabic calligraphy of the Prophet and the 5 Caliphates. Famous for it's large center dome, the entrance into the Hagia Sophia is enthralling. A truly magnificent piece of history that sheds light on the complex history ...
