I love it here... the end.
haha Literally Exposition Park is one of the most awesome places in So Cal. Lots of stuff to do here:
The Rose Garden
Natural History Museum
California Science Center
Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
Stroll through The University of Southern California
There are several other things in the area including the LA Sports Arena, The Butterfly Habitat, a National Guard Armory, and the 1934 Olympic Games Swimming Pool. They have a number of large grass fields for playing sports or just having family fun, picnic areas, a modern rubber turf soccer/football area, and numerous asphalt lots that you can jog around or skate on. When I went to USC, we used to use a couple of the lots to play roller hockey in.
Pro Tip: Parking is $10 for all day access (non event days/times) and some of the stuff is free versus having to pay an exorbitant amount.
Lots of stuff going on here as you can tell. The best part is that this is a well patrolled area with multiple cheap and free things to do. Lots of food nearby as well. Hey maybe even a ghetto dog or danger dog vendor will be there if you dare to get one and enjoy such tastiness!
Let alone with the USC campus adjacent to Exposition Park, there is a lot more history and stuff to check out. Overall its a great place to go and visit. If you have never been here, then you most definitely are missing out on one of the very special places in Los Angeles. Maybe I will see you out here sometime as we are strolling around or at a museum...
