I love this place and always have... The munchkin loves it too. I think many others find this place an unabashed sea of delight in an otherwise barren concrete wasteland.
Pro Tip: This is free to cruise through =)
However be very careful you do not visit here with friends of not the highest demeanor. One ill (perfectly) timed shove and you are suckered into the roses like a bunch of bramble-thorns much to the same effect. As nice in appearance and odor as this place is, the thorns can tear at you like you wouldnt believe.
Pro Tip #2: It is located between USC, California Science Center (where the Endeavor is you dork), and the LA County Museum of Natural History.
They have a number of pagodas/pergolas for you to rest and smell the roses from (yeah you just knew that was coming didn't ya???). The garden has a giant center fountain that is a great mister on a hot day. However it wasn't operating the last time couple of times I have been here =\
Pro Tip #3: Parking is $10 if you park in one of the museum lots or free/metered on a couple of streets nearby (if you are not worried about your ride leaving without you, I do it on Football game days every weekend in the fall).
Overall though this is an awesome tranquil respite from the hustle n bustle of LA. Literally just swing by after a museum visit on your way to a football game, concert or sporting event at the old gray lady (the Coliseum) and enjoy the symmetry and feng shui.Recommended for:

It is a very beautiful garden to wander through. Though while this was convenient for me to visit since I was a student close by, I don't think it's at the top of anyone's destination list. If you in the area, then by all means visit! (During the day, of course, and stay street smart.)

The rose garden at Exposition Park is beautiful to walk through when the flowers are in bloom. Although the majority of the flowers are roses, there are also quite a few unique flowers that really add to the garden.

The Rose Garden is very well kept. It's right next to the California Science Center and the Los Angeles Coliseum. It's also right across the street from the University of Southern California. Lots of activity if you have young children or are really into flowers.Recommended for:
