Beautiful resort hotel property to stop at for lunch or dinner. Several very nice restaurants and only a 3 minute drive from Grand Champions! Enjoy.Recommended for:

This resort has an ideal location in Wailea, just steps from Polo Beach. The property itself is gorgeous with everything you would expect from a luxury resort. There are plenty of restaurants, a spa, luxury villas, and much more. I would recommend staying here for a number of reasons, one of which being the excellent sushi bar on property (Ko). Views are stunning throughout the resort. Nick's Fishmarket is great for dinner too. The breakfast buffet is worthy of mention.Recommended for:

Every room is a suite or better, plus they have bungalows. Restaurants, lobby and architecture are all interesting. Pools are well designed. Staff is friendly. Polo beach is beautiful and great for kids.Recommended for:

Staying at the Kea Lani Maui was amazing. The decor was absolutely amazing. Having a designated adult pool area and a seperate pool area specifically for families w/children is brilliant. Oceanfront suites offer privacy seperate from the main hotel with their own sitting pools. They thought of everything just right with you in mind. (families, honeymooners, couples, retirees) Make the Kea Lani Maui your 1st choice resort on your next visit to Maui, HawaiiRecommended for:

all suites resort makes it great for families. we stay here whenever we're in maui. ask for a pool side room if you have little ones. you can enjoy poolside drinks on the lawn in front of you room, and adjacent to the pool while the kids play in the pool.Recommended for:

Best place for young families who are not yet expert swimmers. Great size, unlike the Grand Wailea, no chance of your kids getting lost. The pool has one big slide plus a river. Best of all, two small kids can sleep comfortably in separate sitting room that each guest room has. All rooms are suites and the bathroom is accessible from either the bedroom or the sitting area. That's a big advantage over the Grand Wailea, where you'll likely need to book a second room - or else be cramped in one room. As your kids get older and demand the water excitement of the Wailea, you'll either need to spring for the two rooms there or make friends with someone who can invite you there to swim. Oh, for those with the youngest kids, next door at the Four Seasons is the best choice (money notwithstanding).Recommended for:

Beautiful Mediterranean style hotel resort located at Wailea along the avenue of high end resorts. High ceilings, lots of pools, and friendly staff with smiles that greet you. Book a stay or dine here and you'll feel like a VIP.Recommended for:

I have really liked the Fairmony Kealani since it was built. There are larger resorts, and more extravagant ones, but none more tasteful. Start with the location: a perfect sandy beach on a half-moon bay all of its own, and linked to seaside walkways that run for miles. There is no better place for a luxurious twilight stroll after a day of play in the sun. The archetecture is unusual for Maui... Shades of Essaouira in Morocco, with dazzling white arches to contrast the colorful tropical foliage, rich green lawns, and the ever-present and always-inviting deep blue sea. This is whale central... these majestic creatures can often be seen splashing and frolicking just offshore. I am a local entertainer, and this is one of my favorite venues to play. I also often stop by for a drink at the little bar just outside Cafe Ciao after kayaking in the area. They always have my favorite drink - Benedictine and Brandy w/coffee back (splendid coffee here), and the casual conversations with the guests I meet always confirm that really nice people stay here. See you there! Aloha, BrianRecommended for:

You really cannot ask for a better oceanside resort. This is one of the most breathtaking hotels I have ever been to and every aspect of my stay was perfect.
The rooms were huge and equipped, all of the food facilities were satisfying, and the staff on this massive resort was great. There is also a great little deli that our room was near that I really enjoyed.....lots of great lunches (and coffee) came from the deli.
I really enjoyed sitting in the water bar drinking frozen daiquiris and then going down the water slide and walking over to the adult only pool to do some relaxing.
I would give this hotel ten stars if I could, but unfortunately five will have to do.

We were very happy with our stay last week at the Fairmont in Wailea for a conference, and would definitely stay there again. The hotel has all suites as well as some beachfront villas. We stayed in an oceanfront suite. It was pretty big, about 860 sq ft. There was a walk through bathroom with double sinks, a bathtub (useful for filling with water in preparation for the Tsunami!), and an open marble standing shower. There is a separate closed door toilet room. The bedroom has a big HD LCD TV, 2 closets, and a king bed. There is a living room with big sectional and ottoman and yet another big LCD TV. Double doors separate the living area from the bedroom. A small fridge and microwave are standard in this suite, which we used quite a bit.
Room service including AM cleaning and turn down was good. No complaints about cleanliness. The decor is slightly older but no big deal.
There are 3 pools, 1 designated for adults only. There is a basketball hoop in 1 kiddie pool and a slide connecting the 2 kiddie pools. It's a few yards to the beach. The hotel can set up lounge chairs with umbrellas at the beach or by the pool, a nice service (no extra charge).
We ate at Ko Restaurant which wasn't bad for hotel food. There is a small italian cafe which is good for grabbing picnic foods like cold meats, cheese, and bread for a day trip. Or sandwiches and cake and drinks.
Wailea is a nice quieter part of the island with good sunny weather. Location is good near other nice hotels like 4 seasons and Grand Wailea Hotel. We had dinner 1 night at the 4 seasons and the pool area is tiny. Apparently all year around, people get up super early there to try to reserve a decent pool chair which sounds like a total pain on vacation; not an issue at the Fairmont (and the rooms are almost half the price at the Fairmont!).

This 4.5 star property has a business center and offers small meeting rooms, secretarial services, and a technology helpdesk. Wireless and wired high speed Internet access is available in public areas (surcharges apply).
