I fell in love with Falmouth instantly. It felt like one of those all-American towns where everything was picture-perfect. There was a white picket fence separating the beach and the road, and in the morning, there was a parade of people jogging, riding bikes, or pushing a stroller along it. It was straight out of "The Truman Show" or something. I wanted to live there and be a perfect exercising, home-owning, sea-going, market-shopping, gardening yankee.

Main Street is fun, cute, and trendy, the neighborhoods are beautiful, and the beaches and ocean are pristine.

A nice town with a lovely main street and town green. Best private beaches are: Capecodder, the Nob and Woodneck (for kids). We also like to kayak to Black Beach. Unpretentious. Beaches aren't grand but they are good for kids.

Description

The small and charm-oozing town of Falmouth - sort-of-rhymes-with-Plymouth - is on the southwestern tip of Cape Cod. It is known for its warm-water beaches, its old-timey downtown, and its ferry terminal to Martha's Vineyard.
