This is quite an exciting place during the Great Migration (July/August), when herds of zebra and wildebeest gather int eh plains on either side of the river, and push and shove each other into the crocodile infested water, and catalyze a mass crossing. This specific crossing on the Mara river is where a lot of the famous National Geographic and BBC footage comes from. Go see it for yourself.
