Fasano, a very well known Brazilian brand, is synonymous with luxury. The brand began as an upscale Italian restaurant in downtown Sao Paulo. Just ten years ago, they decided to embrace the hospitality experience and expand into the hotel business. The idea has certainly caught fire; they have already expanded to three of the most upscale hotels in the country and into Uruguay, with plans to expand even further. Not only do they dominate the luxury hotel category, they also own several sub-branded restaurants that carry the same values and details.
The Sao Paulo Fasano is perfectly located in Jardins, the most upscale part of town and right around the corner from the best shopping around. It’s ideal for shoppers who want to do some serious damage to their credit cards. When guests enter the hotel they are graciously greeted into the living room, which doubles as an incredibly well stocked bar. The masculine, dark brown décor creates an intimate and elegant ambiance. The owners certainly achieved their goal of integrating 30’s & 40’s cinema with updated, modern style.
What is so special about the Sao Paulo Fasano is the seductive energy that comes alive at night. You can remain in the hotel all night and enjoy a variety of experiences. After a rest from shopping, begin your evening in the lobby bar then head to restaurant for some of the most upscale Italian dining available. After an unforgettable dinner, meander to the jazz bar Baretto for a few nightcaps. If you are lucky, you may see a famous singer like Diana Krall serenading the fortunate crowd.
The hotel maintains 60 sleek rooms that serve as an oasis from the busy city below. All rooms and suites offer modern comforts with the cinematic style carried throughout the hotel. Perhaps one of the best part of the hotel is the pool on the top floor, offering extremely hot Japanese plunge pools in addition to the sauna and larger swimming pool. The views over the city are just priceless.
Much like the city of Sao Paulo, currently the Fasano mainly services business travelers. Though as the city’s gastronomy, shopping, concerts and museums grow, it’s drawing more leisure travelers. One thing is for certain: if you want to experience Sao Paulo in true style, Fasano is the one and only option.
