I love this hostel so much, I suggested to a friend she get married there. And she is. :) (Which is fantastic, b/c now I get to go back.)
The setting is fittingly romantic enough for a wedding: a stone farmhouse-turned-hostel on a private island in the middle of Lake Trasimeno in Umbria. Next door are the ruins of a medieval castle, and down the road is the only other structure: an ecology education center. It's not easy to reach and if you miss the last ferry (usually 7pm), you'll have to sweet-talk a fisherman for a ride. But nightly dinner is quite good, and you'll want to watch the sunset from the patio, anyways.

I love this little hostel on Lake Trasimeno. Run by an Italian/Brazilian couple, it's funky and casual yet still incredibly beautiful. In beauty bang for your buck, you're just not going to do much better than this. The food they serve is Italian bog standard - that is, very very good for anywhere else. It's as eminently affordable to eat here as it is to sleep when you're paying twelve euros for a primo and secondo with water and bread included.
