Fernando's is a gem for the Macau explorer, a distance away from the glass and glamor of the casinos. The Portuguese food is top-notch with the leitão (suckling pig) single-handedly capably of transporting any visitor back to the times when Portuguese merchants actually lived on the island. I recommend arriving in the early afternoon and claiming a bench with a few friends and a pitcher of sangria. Once you've adjusted to the coastal frequency of the establishment, head indoors for the food. Pay no attention to time and be prepared for one of the best Portuguese restaurants on this side of the world.

Excellent selection of Portuguese, Macaunese, and Goan foods in a beautiful setting. The restaurant is situated in a courtyard near to Praia de Hac Sa beach on Coloane island, Macau.
