I saw the Titanic exhibit here, excellent attraction. The location is right on Lake Michigan and the strip is all Park and a lot of wonderful things to see. The Kingston Mines is a blues club that has some of the best bands in Chicago. enjoy!

Not having been to the field museum in a few years, I will speak from the old experiences I had there (also, the museum hasn't really changed much with the exception of the new exhibits that come through town). As a kid and young adult, I used to make sure that I went there several times a year. The museum is not only filled with great natural history (think dinosaurs, indians and other artifact type exhibits) but also is an architectural beauty built at a time when buildings were made of natural stone and crafted by Masons (built before 1900). You could probably appreciate its architecture for some time prior to enjoying even older exhibits inside.Recommended for:

One of the greatest museums around. It's large, it's beautiful, and the exhibits are informative.
Keep an eye on which exhibits are traveling through and you might catch something wonderful!
Pro tip: If you're a Bank of America card holder, you get free admission on select weekends (usually the first weekend of the month)

One of the world's greatest natural history museums. My favorite item is that they have the ACTUAL "lions of Tsavo" - dramatized in the Michael Douglas film "The Ghost and the Darkness". However, their T-Rex, "Sue", comes a close second!Recommended for:

If you only have time to make it to one museum in Chicago, I'd recommend the Field Museum of Natural History. I always learn something new there whether it's about dinosaurs, the environment or whales (the current exhibit I raced over to see). I knew whales are mammals but I never knew they had evolved from land mammals when food became more plentiful in the oceans than on the land.Recommended for:

Field Museum is a top choice for museum lovers. In addition to having Sue the Tyrannosaur it has endless halls of wonders to explore. For example the artifacts from Pacific Islands and old Indian Village totems are quite unique.
