The best part of this hotel is definitely its focus on gourmet dining. Every Monday, the staff sets up a communal table in the restaurant so that guests may dine together and taste a special meal prepared by a renowned chef, the menu of which changes every week. The rest of the week, the tables go back to their normal, individual arrangements. Additional epicurean treats include brunch, offered every Sunday, and the specialty wines available for purchase in each room. So foodies: don’t miss out. Despite the busy time at which I came, the staff was attentive and friendly. The receptionist took the time to show me the heated pool on the top terrace (even turning on a fountain-like jet just so that I could check it out) as well as the sauna. Located in the heart of Palermo Holywood, you also have a huge number of bars and night clubs right at your finger tips.Recommended for:

Fierro has great service, and the lobby décor reminds me of rock and roll (red, black, some white sprinkled in). The rooms are great and you can squeeze up to three people in some of them, which is great. It's not very veggie friendly, as it's known for it's meat, but there are some good side dishes you can order. For vegetarians it's probably better to explore other veggie restaurants in the neighborhood. There's a small pool with little space to lounge, but it's a nice thing to have during Argentine summers. One of the things I liked was the "Honesty Bar." The idea is that you take a drink, write down your name/room number on the clipboard, and are charged for that drink later that day. Definitely an interesting touch for a designer boutique.Recommended for:

The restaurant was amazing - mainly because of the award-winning chef, Hernán Gipponi. This is definitely one of the best boutique hotels in the Palermo neighbourhood for dining on Argentine meat - they even had a picture in the restaurant showing all the different cuts of meat used in an Argentine asado. The view from the pool on the terrace was pretty good, but there’s not a lot of space up there and only a few sun-loungers, so when it gets busy there’s not really much room to be able to slot yourself in. Also, I wasn’t too convinced by the decor - lots of black and red made everything quite dark and heavy. I’d definitely go back for the restaurant, though, but I’d be happy to sleep somewhere else with a better pool for the same money.Recommended for:

The staff here really made our visit a pleasure, but the hotel itself is quite luxurious and stylish. The rooms are really big, with plenty of space and lots of light from the big windows, and have really nice, big bathrooms as well, with heated towel racks! They only have showers, though, no bathtubs. The restaurant is beautiful, serves a varied breakfast, and is large enough for the hotel, so no one was cramped at breakfast like in other nearby hotels. The garden out back looked lovely, though tiny. The rooftop pool is the real hidden gem here, small but with a gorgeous view unobstructed by nearby buildings, and with lounges and benches built inside it for easy relaxing. The color scheme is a bit jarring, but the rest of the hotel and the wonderful staff made it a pleasurable experience, if rather pricey.Recommended for:

This place is perfect for couples looking for an exciting and romantic getaway to Buenos Aires. Fierro is decorated in deep red and black, which makes it feel very Buenos Aires. The staff here really go out of their way to help you out and are so friendly. One of the highlights is the size of rooms and bathrooms. Even the most basic room here is generously sized with plenty of room around the bed.
The restaurant is a real hit. The chef is great and prepares some modern interpretations of argentine classic dishes. The bar also serves a wide range of cocktails.
The roof top pool and sun deck was a surprise considering how small Fierro is. The rooftop is perfect for catching a few rays and enjoying a drink and they have sun loungers and the pool will cool you off if it gets too hot.
If you like wine then this is the place for you as they wine tasting every week in the bar downstairs. Good chance to network with other guests too.
