    Sigatoka Sand Dunes

    3 reviews

It was an interesting day trip. We rented a car and drove down the "wrong" side which was interesting. The sand dunes have been a major area for finding artifacts.

    PURE FIJI

    3 reviews

You can get a decent massage here, but it is more light muscle and more fragrance and oils. On Saturday morning this is the spot to get gifts and body products. They make some of the best lotions, creams, and other beauty products in the world, and they are all infused with island scents. On Saturday they are all deeply ...

    Royal Suva Yacht Club

    2 reviews

Sometimes they ask for membership, but usually if you tell them you are just traveling through they are fine with it, or else usually someone there is happy to sign you in. The food is worth missing, but it is the best place in town to have beers on the water. Check out all the old salts who came to ...

    Handicraft Market

    2 reviews

Like with all tourist markets there is a lot of junk here, but there are also some gems, you just have to take your time looking. If you find Max's stall he sells excellent wood carvings. Remember the prices listed on the items are for the cruise ships, so they are sometimes 2-4 times what they will actually sell them ...

    National Aquatic Centre

Great outdoor Olympic pool. Perfect for doing laps. Ask when swim practice is though during the school year, because they often take up much of the pool.

    Aqua-Trek

    2 reviews

Despite the nasty conflict between Aqua-Trek and Beqa Adventure Divers (BAD) as to who is the legitimate Beqa Lagoon shark diving specialist, I highly enjoyed my time diving with Aqua-Trek. The local guides were very knowledgeable, safety conscious and friendly (I'd say more so than BAD), and the shark dive was nearly indescribable. The opportunity to sit on the ocean ...

    Nananu-i-Ra Island

    2 reviews

Beautiful island, very relaxed. There is not a ton to do and the reef is a bit degraded on the inward side of the island. I like that there is an eco-effort going on here and it is a lovely place, but kind of pales in comparison to the outer Yasawas.

    O'Reilly's and Bad Dog Cafe

    2 reviews

Hit or miss. I've eaten here 3 times and have yet to have an exceptional dish. The Pad Thai was bland, the pizza was acceptable, the bruschetta with pumpkin hummus was quite good. They do get points for having separate smoking and no smoking sides (I didn't figure this out til 2nd trip), having a full bar and robust cocktail ...

    Kundan SIngh Supermarket

    2 reviews

If you are spending some time in Suva this is a good grocery store to know about, because they have good fresh meat you cannot always get elsewhere, and some imported stuff for expats, that is hard to find in MHCC.

    Village 6 Cinemas

    2 reviews

Worth going to a comedy here as a cultural experience. The Fijians love to lose themselves laughing during the movie which creates quite a humorous experience, as long as you don't mind missing some of the lines.

    Tui Tai Expeditions

    1 review

This is one of my favorite experinces of all time, however, it is not cheap. Take a five or seven day cruise starting from Savu Savu and going up to the Ringold Atolls and Rabi to dive and meet the unique aultures living there. End with diving in Taveuni, or go back to Namena. There are also mountain bikes, paddle ...

    Shark Reef Marine Reserve

    1 review

Fantastic reef with abundant soft corals and protected for the sake of the plentiful sharks that call this ocean corridor home. I dove the reef with Beqa Adventure Divers and had a wonderful experience exploring the colorful reef, its wrecks and amazing wildlife. And - even though this is not "the shark dive" - you still see sharks!

    Koro Island

    1 review

An amazing island right between Fiji's two main islands. It has great snorkeling and hardly any infrastructure. It is possible to dive the Namena reserve from here and otherwise laze around the beach. There is a small expat community here too.

    Hot Springs and Mud Pool

A must do, will cost you $60 in a taxi up and back. But its well worth the feel of mud over your whole body then dipping into a 37 degree hot spring

    The Bistro

    1 review

Most overwhelmingly spectacular dive of my life! This is where the local dive operators take you for the famous shark dives. There's a nearby wreck, a half decent reef and more massive sharks than you'd ever hope to see anywhere. Conditions were crystal clear, top to bottom visibility at 90ft when I was there, and the sea was literally alive ...
