National September 11 Memorial & Museum

    158 reviews

Goose boobs… Everybody who visits NY should go the memorial, in honor of what happened to this city. I would recommend to book tickets for the museum in forehand. The lines on the spot where very long and on the moment of our stay all the tickets for the next 2 days where already reserved.

    Wall Street

    75 reviews

Understand that I'm only reviewing the physical street and its historic significance, and not what it represents. The heart of capitalism and everything that's right and wrong with it, Wall Street is an iconic destination for any traveler. The architecture alone is worth the trip. Keen minds will note the awkward juxtaposition of seeing a church right at the end ...

Apart from visiting the church, don't miss the Trinity Root Sculpture, the tree that fell on September 11, 2001 and shielded the church from harm. It has been painted red, and stands as a testament to life, humanity and the positive response to the catastrophe.

Cute little strip in the financial district. Touristy but a nice slice of old world Europe right in the middle of the financial district. A convenient spot to grab food or drink before / after visiting the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island ferry or Wall Street. Best when the weather is nice and you can sit outside.

Right in my neighborhood, and awesome curated collection of food purveyors. We discovered Nonna's sauce, Fresh Field catsup, and all manner of breads, meats, and wild berries here. Now, since Sandy, they are looking for a home. Luckily they have plenty of community and celebrity chef support.
