Debating Doubtful Sound vs. Milford Sound? Not surprising. Doubtful Sound, Milford's lesser known brother, but 3x as long and 10x as much surface area, and probably 1/100 as much traffic. Its an easy choice if you're the outdoorsy type and want to experience nature in its finest form. Dolphin pods live in Doubtful Sound, and there are minimal cruise boats to take into the sound. If you really want to be at peace with the Sound, hire a kayak. You won't regret your choice!

Doubtful Sound is the second largest of the 14 fiords in Fiordland, and is huge compared to Milford Sound. Doubtful's sights include waterfalls, sea lions and lush, green landscapes.
