I got a salad covered in meat - the steak cobb with tri-tip, lettuce, onion, pepper, blue cheese, and bacon. Even the small was plenty. Pretty good.

Since this place was promoting itself as a tapas restaurant, I was expecting tapas-sized servings. However, the servings were a little larger than expected so I'm glad we ordered only a few things. We liked the salad choices here, particularly the Grilled Romaine salad. The hamburger, not so much.Popular withNightlifeTrendsters

Even though a jäger bomb is such a simple drink to make, this was probably the best jäger bomb I was served at a bar. Why is that? Because the bartender was awesome and gave us a lot of red bull, pulled out a new bottle from the fridge and filled the shot glasses to the rim, and poured even ...Popular withNightlife

On the ground floor of the Granada boutique hotel, this is one of the most chic-looking bistros in downtown San Luis Obispo, with a boisterous yet still date-worthy romantic atmosphere that's a lot like creekside Novo, except with outdoor firepits instead of water-view tables. The local chef is renowned, and the menu of farm-to-table California cooking has a lot of ...Popular withTrendstersNightlifeLuxury

I would this is one of my favorite Thai food in San Luis Obispo. Thai Classic is located in downtown SLO, right next to Firestone. They were rated the best Thai food in SLO and many rewards on their wall. The services is amazing that I cannot really explain other than you having to try. I usually order their Tom ...Popular withStudentsBudgetAdventure

Moving into way bigger digs right on Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo's main drag, Kreuzberg CA gets my vote for the best coffee shop in SLO. Love curling up here with an old-school print book or my laptop on the tattered couches and shabby-chic chairs. Verve is the coffee bean roaster of choice, but they've got a huge variety of ...Popular withStudentsBudget

Screw the trendy Fro-Yo places with tart flavors and fancy neo-mod decor, their pour-your-own glutonny of cream inan oversized bowl. Forget Jamba Juice with their huge caloried blends and boosts. You want great fruit flavor, high quality product, with no articial flavors, corn syrup or added ingredients? Try Giordano's Fruit Freeze in SLO! (aka G's Fruit Freeze, aka G's Italian ...

Run by two folks who used to work for Verve Coffee in Santa Cruz, this is downtown SLO's most artisanal coffee shop. But in a good way - friendly and enthusiastic, not snobby. Their affogado and chocolate milkshakes are as amazing as the straight-up cappuccinos expertly dispensed from the white Italian espresso machine. You can buy Scout's own specially roasted ...Popular withTrendstersStudentsFoodies

There's a lot of debate over which place in SLO serves the best tri-tip barbecue beef sandwich, and I think Mo's is a pretty strong contender. The tri-tip is tender, the BBQ sauce savory and the service usually lightning-fast. Just don't expect it to be super-cheap; you're paying for the famous name.Popular withStudentsBudgetFamilies

On a corner just one block away from the Higuera Street hubbub, this dual-level burger bar brings in all the college kids on weekend nights. But it's not for the burgers, which truth be told are no great shakes, but for the looooong list of microbrews, ranging all up and down California and the West Coast. Much better than the ...Popular withStudents

Cute little place for Belgian-style French fries. Might not be the most authentic Belgian fries you've ever tasted, but the dozens of different spice and dipping sauce choices will leave you satisfied. A fave late-night student hangout, and did I mention they also serve bottles of Belgian beer? Yes!Popular withStudentsBudgetBackpackers

Wonderful service, and a bright and airy atmosphere compliment the fresh ingredients and generous portions at Kumi Ko. Prices are just a little bit higher then some of the other places in town, but the portions and service are well worth it. Look for the daily specials and happy hour pricing.
